From the Washington Post: A baby born last year has been raised by a human family.
The first steps were taken on Thursday, Oct. 17, by three members of the family.
“We got her first real step today, and I think she’s just really happy with it,” her mother, Melissa Meeks, told the Washington Examiner.
“I was actually crying when I was in there, so it’s going to be a real blessing.
It’s a very big thing for her.”
The first step is a very long one.
The family said they have to wait for the umbilical cord to be cut.
But Meeks said they are “not worried.”
“It is a lot of work and it is nerve-wracking,” she said.
“You are thinking of your kids.”
